This is a Universal Registered Exposition sanctioned by the Bureau of International Expositions (BIE) In November 2013. Dubai in the United Arab Emirates won the right to hold Expo 2020.

As a Registered Exposition it may be a maximum of six months in length and adhere to a wide universal theme that applies to all humanity.
